it fundamental

Machines, gadgets, computer applications and many more are all products of the new technology. It became a necessity nowadays for it almost systematizes the whole wide world. It is a great help indeed if we will just use it in the right way. It lessens human effort and makes everything done quickly. All of these things are being innovated by information technology. Information technology binds three important elements namely hardware, software and people ware. It is somewhat everything in this generation. Speaking of hardware it is comprises everything that is tangible such as monitors, keyboards, machines, gadgets and devices. It gives us a great convenience especially in constructing huge projects. For example, in making roads and highways, unlike before it takes a very long time in order to accomplish such as infrastructure. But with help of information technology, latest devices came out which helps so much on building it speedily. Another benefit from information technology is our modern libraries. Before, libraries are just composed of big shelves, numerous books and magazines, card catalogs, newspapers, journals and filled documents. We can hardly find what we are looking for if we are not fond of going there and we also need an ample of time just to gather facts and information about of just one subject or problem. But now, through information technology it gave birth to computer software. When we talk about computer software it deals with computer application, all computer program s and installment. With the use of software, we are able to find and gather information much easier. Everything that is being compiled in the computers is considered software. Not only in gathering information it is being used, it can also applied in electrical lining system. Through it, we can easily determine electrical complications. And as we can observe nowadays, if we’re going to pay our electric bills, it is automatically saved inside the computer. The third product of information technology which I found as the most useful one is what we call “people ware”. When we say people ware, it corresponds on how we can communicate people using the new technology. For example, through telephone or cell phone, we can talk to someone even he is miles away from us. It is means of connecting people. It will never end there, as generation grows, technology advancement follows. We can now consider the world as one small village.
Technology expanded our notions of art. Photographs and film are new kinds of art that developed from new inventions. Today, people also create art on computers.
The amount of information on the Web continues to grow rapidly, as does the number of users around the world and the amount of online commerce. For many businesses, the Web is replacing traditional catalog ordering. In addition, people continue to extend and improve Web technology. Several research efforts are underway to generate new methods that search the Web for information, new methods for restricting access to intellectual property, and new technologies that will permit live Webcasts similar to television broadcasts.
Companies, individuals, and institutions use the Internet in many ways. Companies use the Internet for electronic commerce, also called e-commerce, including advertising, selling, buying, distributing products, and providing customer service. In addition, companies use the Internet for business-to-business transactions, such as exchanging financial information and accessing complex databases. Businesses and institutions use the Internet for voice and video conferencing and other forms of communication that enable people to telecommute (work away from the office using a computer). The use of e-mail speeds communication between companies, among coworkers, and among other individuals. Media and entertainment companies run online news and weather services over the Internet, distribute music and movies, and actually broadcast audio and video, including live radio and television programs. File sharing services let individuals swap music, movies, photos, and applications, provided they do not violate copyright protections. Online chat allows people to carry on discussions using written text. Instant messaging enables people to exchange text messages; share digital photo, video, and audio files; and play games in real time. Scientists and scholars use the Internet to communicate with colleagues, perform research, distribute lecture notes and course materials to students, and publish papers and articles. Individuals use the Internet for communication, entertainment, finding information, and buying and selling goods and services. Several technical challenges must be overcome if the Internet is to continue growing at the current phenomenal rate. The primary challenge is to create enough capacity to accommodate increases in traffic. Internet traffic is increasing as more people become Internet users and existing users send greater amounts of data. If the volume of traffic increases faster than the capacity of the network increases, congestion will occur, similar to the congestion that occurs when too many cars attempt to use a highway. To avoid congestion, researchers have developed technologies, such as Dense Wave Division Multiplexing that transfer more bits per second across an optical fiber. The speed of routers and other packet-handling equipment must also increase to accommodate growth. In the short term, researchers are developing faster electronic processors; in the long term, new technologies will be required.

With their increasing power and versatility, computers simplify day-to-day life. Unfortunately, as computer use becomes more widespread, so do the opportunities for misuse. Computer hacker’s people who illegally gain access to computer systems often violate privacy and can tamper with or destroy records.
Computers will become more advanced and they will also become easier to use. Improved speech recognition will make the operation of a computer easier. Virtual reality, the technology of interacting with a computer using all of the human senses, will also contribute to better human and computer interfaces. Standards for virtual-reality program languages for example, Virtual Reality Modeling language (VRML) are currently in use or are being developed for the World Wide Web. Communications between computer users and networks will benefit from new technologies such as broadband communication systems that can carry significantly more data faster or more conveniently to and from the vast interconnected databases that continue to grow in number and type.
